Havasu Falls Photo Album 1

P9291625.jpg (85862 bytes) Looking down from Hualapai Hill Top into the canyon.  Hualapai Hill Top is a bench slightly below the Rim Top where the Helo-pad and parking area is located.
P9291626.jpg (100848 bytes) Mule trains are constantly going past on the trail.  Notice the dust at the feet of the horses and mules.  Their hooves keep the trail ground into a sandy powder.
P9291629.jpg (98069 bytes) Reaching the bottom of the steep climb from Hualapai Hill Top.  Looking down the canyon with about 6 1/4 miles to go to the village.
P9291630.jpg (85598 bytes) The canyon of the dry arroyo starts to close in on the trail.
P9291636.jpg (86913 bytes) I can always find an Arizona traveling buddy on the trail. This is one of the three species of Collard Lizards - Two of the three are muted in brown coloration.
P9291641.jpg (91929 bytes) Formations in the arroyo. The effects of erosion caught my attention.
P9291643.jpg (114502 bytes) Formations in the arroyo.
P9291646.jpg (101452 bytes) These thin layers of deposits seemed out of place within the typically thicker layers I normally see in the canyons.
P9291652.jpg (191527 bytes) Formations in the arroyo.
P9291654.jpg (97618 bytes) The canyon of the dry arroyo really narrows in on the trail.
