Reached Hawaii - Sept 23, '99
Well, I wouldn't say that the flight went well - we were supposed to go to SF on an 8:20 flight but they put us on a 10:30 to LA. (Weather in SF was bad)
Our original flight was to leave SF around 11:45 but we didn't leave LA until after 5:00.
Other than that, the flight was uneventful; well sort of. When we were supposed to be loading in LA, we were very late and they announced that it was because they were still cleaning the cabin. About ten minutes later a member of the flight crew showed up and was allowed on - after we finally loaded and were waiting at the gate, they announced that a plane from Denver was arriving late and we would wait for the transfers and their luggage - I swear that I wouldn't have been surprised to see Mike and Sue to get aboard.
As we were taxing out to the end of the runway - the pilot came on the intercom twice trying to let ground control know that we had reached a spot at which we were supposed to hold. Next he turned onto the runway and continued to "coast" for about a 1/2 mile down the runway. Finally he came on the intercom and announced that he had some good news and some bad news - the good news was that "we had lost our weights and then found them" but the bad news was that we had lost our turn in the take-off schedule.
Talk about confidence builders!
But we made it - had a relaxing fun day today - took about forty shots with the new camera - definitely need to practice.
We had a great time in Seattle -
Love
Mom and Dad.
