Thanx for the missive...

Roger...are you just funning with yourself or are you truly inapt?

You strike me a brilliant sort so perhaps this is just a post mid life crisis you are experiencing.  I suppose had you bought the red corvette convertible and golfed you way through your forties, your fifties might have been kinder to you. Or maybe it's too much hot sun...your brain and yikes! and your personality are dehydrating and morphing! Perish the thought.

Man, pull yourself together and be brave. Grab a pan by the handle and smack yourself a few quick times on the frontal lobe...perhaps you'll reengage your independent self and find a way to stop sniveling about your male inaptitude!  You tell great tales...and you have a gift for the glib!

By the way, at the trade shows you speak of...the people are all so kind...befriend the nerd across from you and a potty break is nothing! Just be sure to take your cash with you!
