Letter to Cuz'n Ed - Jul 9, '00

Hello Ed and Karen,

Not surprisingly, neither Sharon and I write much, but none-the-less we should have responded to your letter sooner. Our email address is S_R_Olander@compuserve.com.

Some info to add to your genealogical list - Bryon has two sons, David and Michael. Rick has two sons, Brian and Grant (Brian works for Calloway, the golf people - what a mistake I made by not becoming that boy's favorite uncle!) I hate to say I'm not sure but I think Brian has two girls. David married a couple of years ago and I expect an announcement of impending grandfather-hood for Byron in the not too distant future.

Daryl took his bachelors in Finance and then went back for a masters in Computer Sci. Natalie received her bachelors in the Travel field but after 14 years has migrated into the world of computers and the internet. The company she works for in Honolulu does web pages and computer consulting.

I think that catches us up on your questions. 

Sharon just returned from Boulder - she had a great time playing with and baby-sitting Alex. Everyone was crammed into her mother's small condo - but nobody seems to have minded. Daryl and Julie will move into their new house next week. We took a week to go to Florida in May and we are headed for the big Island of Hawaii for a week later this month. 

As you can imagine, I am under a lot of pressure to move back to Colorado, even though we both hate the snow. Besides, we are firmly anchored here by my job - job changes are impossible at this age and retirement is out of the question for us. In the meantime I'm sure we will be travelling to Boulder as much as money and time will allow.
