It's a wilderness area with the usual restrictions but with the addition of No Dogs!  The Wire Pass Trailhead is the most common entry point.

The area is also noted for it's Tee Pee or cone formations

There are stories of people roaming the wilderness for hours without finding the Wave - It is directly below the black Cleft in the butte which can be seen for miles.  These two views are from opposite sides of Sand Cove - which is just below the Wave.
