Seven Springs Campground - When I learned about
Cave Creek, I took a late afternoon exploratory trip to scout it
out. This quiet pool is on the right as you enter the picnic
grounds. |
 |
It was mid March, and the evening was short,
providing this sunset over the township of Cave Creek as I returned to
Phoenix. |
 |
The following weekend I returned - the
wildflower carpeted hills were my objective. |
 |
As usual, I quickly left the trail to explore
along the creek bed, boulder hopping along the jumbled mess of river
debris when I spotted this tree on the opposite bank. |
 |
A little further down the stream bed I found
this tree with it's parasitic fungi |
 |
A colorful bank across the pool. |
 |
Not much flow in Cave Creek at this time of
year. |
 |
Finally, back on the trail. |
 |
The hills were carpeted in wildflowers. This
shot is similar to the middle frame in the panorama at the bottom of the
page. |

Sentinels! Ok, Ok: So the two
Saquaros are an Arizona cliché. |

Parry's Agave - Agave parryi |

The day's goal - three digital pictures stitched
together to form a 150 degree panorama. |
